Yandere Review - Tate No Yuusha No Nariagari's Motoyasu Kitamura

Name: Motoyasu Kitamura (The blond one with the spear and red eyes)
Yandere Type: Obsessive
Role: Main Cast

So, let me start off with this: Motoyasu isn't your usual yandere. And it's a bad thing, at least in my opinion.

Most yanderes we know of are creepy. Still, most of them are cool and charismatic. Motoyasu is, well, a plain idiotic yandere. Big emphasis on the word "idiotic. Now some of you may think, No way! He looks so cool! You're right, he looks cool. Maybe he is cool, but only in the first parts of the light novel.

Let me clarify something else, too. Motoyasu isn't yandere on the first few volumes. In fact, he is afraid of yanderes. Why, you ask? That's because he was killed off by female yanderes in the first place. In his former world, he used to play around with lots of women and it eventually led to his death.

After a few more volumes, though, Motoyasu had undergone intense betrayals that left him quite depressed. Fortunately for him, someone offered him comfort. And that's when all hades broke loose.

It's quite funny, really, that someone with a yandere trauma would turn into a yandere. Even the main protagonist thinks so, too. Still, his obsessiveness in the novel is in a fine line between creepy and hilarious and annoying. Honestly, if you read the story, there's no other way to describe him but an obsessive idiot.

Anyway, if you're interested, you could read the novel in various websites like NovelPlanet. The novel is actually quite average but it could be an entertaining read depending on your taste. But if you're looking for a male yandere who could possibly make you all hot and bothered, I don't think Motoyasu is the guy lololol.
