Yandere Review - Crazy Girl Shin Bia's Mu Yeong

It’s been such a long time since I met such an abusive yet heartthrobbing male yandere!

Yandere scenes were shown much later in the series so I wasn’t really sure about Mu Yeong at first. He did show some signs about his “abusiveness” at the start, but it was motivated by revenge and not love, making me consider him a yangire.

But then, our beloved yangire just had to fall inlove!

Let’s make the long story, short. 

Synopsis: Shin Bia (from present day Korea) is an orphan with a gangster-like attitude and likes picking fights. One day, he was kidnapped by a beautiful guy named Nam-Il Park and brought her to his apartment which is on the 18^th floor. Determined to not let this guy have his own way, Shin Bia thought she’d rather die than being Nam-Il’s lover or something… so she decided to jump on the window… and yes, from the 18^th floor.
 Little did she know that at the same time, Celestial Bia (her other self from another world) jumped towards a cliff to get away from an assassin. And as Celestial Bia fell towards her death, she used her powers to bring Shin Bia to the world she lives in and forces her to take her place as Celestial Bia.

So now, our Shin Bia is now on another world. And guess who she met first: it’s the assassin. Guess who’s the assassin: it’s Mu Yeong. Guess who’s Mu Yeong: the prince from an enemy country.

Anyway, the story goes along. Mu Yeong wanted to kill Yoo Baek, the crown prince and Celestial Bia’s future husband, in order to get revenge for their fallen country. But the more he encounters Bia (who pretends she’s Celestial Bia), the more the ice in his heart melts… or something like that?

Nevertheless, Mu Yeong’s love for Bia is one heck of a disaster.  Let’s make a list of every yandere thing Mu Yeong has done because of his love for Bia.

(1)    Kidnapping  and locking up – he really wants Bia by his side, no?

(2)    Murder and attempted murder – like most hardcore yandere, they’re willing to kill anyone who gets in his way of love. He is even willing to kill any guy whose name comes out from Bia’s mouth. (see picture above)

(3)    Tearing of clothes – ummm, if this isn’t yandere, I don’t know what this is. I mean, he barged into her bedroom and started tearing up Bia’s clothes… which leads us to the next crime.

(4)    Attempted Rape – after tearing her clothes, of course Mu Yeong tried to rape her. And no, it wasn’t just teasing. He did try to rape her. Unfortunately, Bia tried to kill herself to keep her virginity… and so Mu Yeong lost all his senses and dragged her down to the dungeon.

(5)    Chaining and Whipping – angry that Bia tried to kill herself, he dragged her down the dungeon, chained her up and started whipping her beautiful skin. And of course he was so sorry when he came back to his senses and promised to never hurt Bia again… he tried to rub healing lotions on Bia’s scarred back… which leads to sexual harassment all over again. Really, Mu Yeong.

(6)    Attempted dismemberment – Mu Yeong tried to chop off one of Bia’s hands, stating that he still loves her even if she only has one hand… I was like, waaahhh! What the heck are you doing Mu Yeong!

Mu Yeong is really pretty hardcore. And guess what, if you like a story with female yanderes, there’s one too. She’s waaaay too inlove with Mu Yeong (surprise, surprise) that she tried to kill Bia many times. Her cunning ways are not to be underestimated too.
